why does the harry potter fandom build up draco malfoy and put him on a pedestal and devote all sorts of headcanons to him and ignore all the terrible things he did and devise all sorts of redemption arcs for him and develope aus where he’s a good guy and turn him into this angel that he never was but then turn around and demonize snape and refuse to see him as a person and only focus on the bad things he did and entirely mischaracterize him and shove him into a black and white mentality and turn him into everything the fandom despises and treat it as canon despite it not being so and ignore the good things he did and not actually think about the reasons why he did those bad things and refuse to think about him complexly

A lot of the Harry Potter fandom = double standards
